Application in Electric Motors

In an electric motor, a current-carrying wire is placed between the poles of a magnet. Fleming's left-hand rule can be used to show that the force acting on the wire will cause it to rotate. When the current flows in one direction, the force will be in one direction, and when the current is reversed, the force will be in the opposite direction. This alternating force causes the wire to rotate continuously.
